1. QUATs - abbreviation for Quaternary Ammonium Compounds. They are commonly used disinfectant agents, especially in surface hygiene products.

This product does not contain quaternary ammonium compounds, making it safer for sensitive surfaces and suitable for food contact areas, without leaving a sticky film.

  • No residual films - QUATs can leave a sticky film on surfaces that trap dust and germs
  • Food safety - QUAT-free products are better suited for surfaces that come into contact with food
  • Better material compatibility - QUATs can damage sensitive surfaces such as aluminum, acrylic and linoleum
  • Regulatory requirements - Some industries (e.g. food, medical) prefer QUAT-free formulas due to easier rinsing and lower residual risk

2.  PT4 is an abbreviation for Product Type 4 according to the EU Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). It is one of 22 categories that classify biocides according to their intended use.

PT4 = Food Hygiene - Products used for the disinfection of surfaces, equipment and containers that come into contact with food and beverages.

  • Surfaces in kitchens, restaurants, canteens, catering ...
  • Equipment for processing, storing and serving food
  • Machines, countertops, tools, containers
  • Products that do not leave harmful residues and are safe in contact with food

3.  PT2 (Product Type 2 EU BPR) - Disinfection of surfaces in institutional and healthcare areas - Products used for the disinfection of surfaces, equipment and furniture in healthcare facilities, public institutions and care homes

  • Surfaces in hospitals, medical offices, care homes
